Dibrugarh, Assam: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has inaugurated a new Chief Minister's Secretariat in Dibrugarh, a significant step towards improving governance and development in the region.
The new secretariat will play a crucial role in monitoring state and central government schemes, expediting grievance redressal, and enhancing administrative connectivity across nine districts. Covering an area of 21,264 square kilometers and a population of nearly 79 lakhs, the secretariat will serve
Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Majuli, Jorhat, and Golaghat.
Chief Minister Sarma emphasized the importance of establishing a secretariat in Dibrugarh, known for its educational institutions, industries, and tea gardens. He highlighted that the new office would ensure seamless integration with the Dispur Secretariat, enabling efficient governance regardless of the Chief Minister's location.
